House Corp. Appreciation Dinner

On Thursday, December 11th, the House Corporation Board held an appreciation dinner to honor Johnny Sparrow for 40 years of continued service for the Alpha Tau Chapter of Sigma Chi, and to honor outgoing board member Scott Coward for his service as President of the House Corporation.

Among the festivities, we all learned some wonderful stories from Johnny over his years as a pledge, active brother, and alumnus; including missing only two initiations at Alpha Tau over the last forty years!  Thank you Johnny, for your outstanding dedication.  And thank you Scott for your service as President, good luck in your new adventure.

The board decided to hold elections early in light of Scott’s early departure to pursue a change in employment out of state.  Elected officers were as follows:  John Ruocchio – President, Zack Hamm – Vice President, Matthew Davis – Secretary, and Chuck Osborne – Treasurer.

The board also voted to proceed with several minor repairs to the house for the chapter room bathrooms, the brothers bathroom, and repairs to the chimney and roof areas to prevent further damage.

Finally, Ken Benson, AT ’88, has been added as the newest house corporation board member.  Congratulations, Ken!
